What He Needs in a Home

• A detached home (no apartments) Lincoln  has a strong, loud bark and will alert when he hears things
• An adopter who understands guardian breeds as he can be unsure of new people but warms up quickly and becomes a cuddle bug
• Someone ready to manage a big, strong dog who doesn’t realize he isn’t tiny
• A kid-free home (he’s gentle but far too large and unaware of his size)

Important: He Has PICA

Lincoln does have PICA, meaning he’ll try to eat non-food items. This is what originally led to him being surrendered when his previous owners couldn’t afford obstruction surgery.

In his foster home, his PICA has improved, but he still needs:

• 24/7 supervision when loose in the house
• A tidy, dog-proofed environment
• A clean yard with little to grab
• An empty crate when he’s resting or unsupervised

He’s doing better, he’s learning, and he truly wants to please, but this will always be part of his care.
